The Productivity & Standards Board (PSB) Product Listing Scheme has replaced the SCDF building material approval process.

Any material that is intended for fire safety works, if listed under the PSB Product Listing Scheme and its use is in compliance with the requirements stipulated in the Fire Code, would be deemed to be acceptable to SCDF, Fire Safety & Shelter Department (FSSD). No separate approval is needed. The said scheme took effect from 1 April 98.
