Transit Security Personnel
Uniformed transit security personnel are stationed at MRT stations and bus interchanges and can be identified by their
Transit Security Badge.
Transit security personnel:
- enhance security and vigilance against terrorist threats
- conduct patrols in MRT stations and bus interchanges
- conduct random bag and parcel checks for suspicious items
Please co-operate with transit security personnel so that they can protect the public. |

If You See Anything or
Anyone Suspicious

Call 999 or inform
Transit Security staff.

Call 999/995 or station
personnel if anyone is
injured or there is a
threat to life.
-
Do not put yourself or
others in danger.

Remain calm and think
before acting.

Train and Bus Evacuation |

Follow instructions given over announcement system |

If a problem develops while
the train is on the move, do
not panic.

Listen carefully to the
announcements and follow
instructions given by the
staff.

Take care of children and
elderly passengers in the
train.

Do not force the door open
or attempt to jump off the
train.

Follow emergency exit instructions |

| |

Follow the instructions at
the emergency exits at
either end of the train to
open the doors and get
off the train.
-
During evacuation, all
electrical power in the
tracks will be shut off so
that you can evacuate
safely. Emergency lighting
and ventilation will be
provided in the trains and
tunnels.

Alert Bus Captain if suspicious article is seen
|

If you see anything
suspicious while onboard
the bus, do not panic.

Let the Bus Captain
know. He will assess the
situation and transfer
everyone to another bus
if necessary.

Take care of children and
elderly passengers.
